Service Division Manager
Steve Hamlin got his background in the HVAC service field through years of Facilities Maintenance and Management. During those 20 years, he managed all repairs to HVAC equipment, electrical equipment, and all building systems for numerous facilities. He got his roots in high level service and repair during his 5-year enlistment working on helicopters and war-fighting equipment for the US Marines.
As Service Division Manager, Steve must have a wide range of knowledge to the customers buildings and individual needs. This is heavily assisted by his team of office personal and HVAC service technicians devoted to quality service and repairs. With the day-to-day needs of the areas HVAC issues, Steve balances service calls and emergencies with respect to the customer’s clients’ needs while continuing to ensure every customer is our only customer.
Controls
Greg has 42 years experience in Electrical/Controls, and has been with Hopkins | Lacy for 40 years.
Greg’s electrical experience has included projects in the education, industrial and healthcare fields. He currently is the Controls Division Manager. He has worked both in the field and office with Hopkins | Lacy.
OPERATIONS – Roanoke
With more than 40 years of experience in the Electrical Contracting Industry, Chris has developed a strong background in project management, estimating, and subcontractor coordination.
As the Roanoke Operations Manager, holding licenses in North Carolina & Virginia, Chris oversees the daily activities of the MEP Division’s operations, on Large Projects including establishing and implementing financial projections, scheduling manpower and materials, quality assurance, cost control, and project management protocols.
PRESIDENT
Wilber Chen has over 30 years of experience in the MEP, transportation, and heavy civil markets. Most recently, he was a Senior Design-Build Manager and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Manager for Kiewit’s Water Group, working on a wide variety of mechanical and industrial projects throughout the US. Prior to Kiewit, Wilber held the role of Senior Vice President in Parsons National Industrial / MEP sector, managing a group that worked on mechanical and industrial projects throughout the US, while also serving as Area Manager for Heavy Civil and Transit projects in the Western US.
Wilber holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from California State Polytechnic – Pomona.

OPERATIONS
Christopher Becker has more than 30 years of experience in the mechanical construction industry. He has expertise working in the education and health care fields and has a strong background in project management and subcontractor coordination.
As Vice President, Christopher Becker oversees the operation of the Mechanical Division, including the fabrication shop and mechanical and sheet metal projects, and works closely with the Estimating, Engineering, and BIM Departments. He is also responsible for onboarding and offboarding of field and office personnel.
