G.J. Hopkins was a contractor on the project to construct the Colket Student Center at Roanoke College, in Salem, Virginia. The facility is the largest building project in the college’s 158-year history, and features a dramatic two-story atrium, which created unique HVAC and lighting challenges during the design and construction process. In 2001, the project won a prestigious IES International Illumination Design Award. G.J. Hopkins’ contribution included:
