Talking To The Next Generation Of Construction

Apr 15, 2018

On Thursday, April 12, 2018, Ernie Caldwell and Josh Mills attended a career fair at Franklin County High School. The goal of the visit was to introduce the students to our construction industry. Not only were we looking for prospective students who were interested in a skilled trade but those students who had no idea want they wanted as a career. These students were shown career paths, for plumbers, welders, electricians, project managers, estimators, human resources, IT, engineering, and accounting in the construction industry. The students range from Freshman to Seniors. A video of our fabrication shop and BIM animations rolled on the monitor to help attract students to the table. Josh returning to his alma mater quickly connected with many of the students as the discussed teachers.
